Today my friend Vera came over after work so we could design her first ever hand made Christmas cards.  We each set out to design one card using the Gifts of Christmas set and based our design some what from the example in the SU book. This first picture is Vera’s design. I really love the way it turned out.

Recipe: card stock: kraft, real red, glorious green, confetti cream, and bashful blue. She used the wood grain texture plate on the bashful blue paper. Markers: glorious green, real red and bashful blue.  Accessories: dimensionals to pop up the bird, bashful blue taffeta ribbon, bashful blue chalk to shade the bird, the mat pack/paper-piercing tool, and scallop boarder punch.

Here is the card that I made. I used all the same paper and markers and accessories as listed above. I switched out the taffata ribbon for bashful blue 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon. I used the Petals-a-plenty embossing folder. The oval was cut using the frame oval scallop die for the Big Shot. I used the oval also to trace on the back of the real red to be cut out. I used dimensionals to pop up the red frame and the bird.

Vera has settled on her design which I also love. I look forward to our next get together to mass produce them. There is nothing like getting together with a friend to create and share some laughs.
